Feeling a bit down and in need of a pick me up? Check out this article below to learn our Top 5 Ways To Boost Your Energy.
What Is Energy?
Our energy is our natural life force. It is made up of our essence. For centuries, it has been referred to as ‘chi’, that flows internally and externally, in and around us.
In the 60’s, it was called a ‘vibe’, a psychedelic ‘feel- good’ wave of energy.
Spiritually speaking, this isn’t entirely false.
Energy runs as the ‘engine’ of our bodies and is also directly connected to our mindset and our emotions. When we feel happy, we feel a surge of energy that makes us want to fly. When we feel run down, we feel as if we’ve been run over by a bus.
Our energy often depends on how we are feeling, what we are doing and who we spend our time with!
It is imperative that you keep trying to boost your energy – to stay physically and mentally healthy.
Like revving up a car’s engine to its optimum potential, giving ourselves an energy boost is essential to our emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Boosting our energy makes us feel happy, revived and restored.

The Top 5 Ways To Boost Your Energy
1. Go For a Power Walk or Dance Class
If you are having an energy-zapping morning, and you’d like to bring some pep back into your step – there is something you can do to boost your energy…. by going on a power-induced walk!
Power walking wakes up your body. It gets your hamstring and glute muscles working efficiently and forces you to surge ahead – putting you in a strong, positive, energised headspace to tackle the rest of your day.
Not only that – exercising your body will release endorphins, a natural chemical that will boost your mood and make you feel happier.
Another benefit of walking is that it will activate the quadriceps muscles (thigh muscles) which is linked to your small intestine meridian. By stimulating your meridians which links into your energy or “chi” in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this can help you to help create more mental clarity as well as bring better judgement and help you to “digest” any issues that you’re facing.
Power walking to music can also help you to take you away from your stress and anxiety whilst you focus on listening to the beat.
With your back straight and your shoulders pulled back, walking in time to the drum of your favourite songs will give you the feeling of power.
Speaking of music, another way to get your boost back is to put on your dancing shoes. Learn some hip hop, jazz, and Latin moves at your local gym or community centre. Say hello again to your hips, quads and hamstrings.
Unleash your inner popstar. Not only do you sweat up a storm, but learning choreography boosts your mind and memory as well. You can’t help but feel energetic and happy after a dance class!
2. Sit by the Ocean
The ocean has a strength and power of its own. So much so, that it pays to sit, close your eyes and breathe along with it.
Sitting by the ocean is very cleansing. Let the surging of the waves and the smell of the salty air fill your lungs.
Let the crashes of the waves by your feet give you a gentle boost of clarity, wash away negativity.
Your mind in no time will clear its energy, by listening to the peaceful sound of seagulls overhead.
By releasing our mind’s tension and negative feelings, we can then have room once again to boost our energy and reboot our day.
Not near the ocean?
Try forest bathing…. Go for a walk in your local park and lay your hand against a tree or find a path where lots of trees reside. Close your eyes and fill your senses with natural world around you.
Forest bathing is known to keep you feeling grounded and connected to nature’s peaceful energy.
3. Find Your Tribe
Connecting with like-minded people who inspire you or keeping company with those you love being with can boost your energy too.
Inherently, we are social animals, and being socially aligned with others can stimulate serotonin, a natural chemical can helps regulate your mood, keeping you feeling calmer and happier.
By feeling more connected to others, we are less likely to be depressed.
Try meeting others regularly by going to the gym, taking an art class, or by joining a community organisation or sporting club near you.
4. Try Mindful Colouring
Are you a busy person trying to avoid workplace burnout? Why not destress your mind and boost your mood by engaging in a creative energy activity like Mindful Colouring?
Mindful Colouring absorbs your mind, and brings you into the present moment, by the simple act of colouring illustrations.

Passion is important to have in our lives, because it gives us joy, and a purpose to our existence. But the only way to find out what our passion or purpose is, is to sit quietly, reflect on our strengths, and take action.
Remember, we are more than just one thing.
There are no rules to what we can accomplish in our lifetime.
