What Can I Expect From My Massage Session?

If this is your first clinic appointment, please arrive 10 minutes earlier than the stated appointment time as you will be required to fill in a client information and consent form which will assist the therapist in evaluating your individual circumstances and tailor the session to your needs.

At the start of the session, we will have a quick chat about why you're in need of a massage, and there will be a postural assessment made. During the session, because we use oils in our massage treatment, you will be asked to undress to your underwear - or feel free to bring in shorts if you like. The therapist will leave the room for you to undress.

During the massage, you can communicate as much or as little as you like – remember, this is all about you.

At the end of the session,  the therapist will leave the room so that you can re-dress in private.


What Do I Need to Know About My Appointment?

Your scheduled appointment time is the time that your massage starts.

Please schedule sufficient time prior to your appointment to allow for traffic, parking, use of the facilities and/or changing, or to fill in any necessary paperwork.

We suggest at least at least 10 minutes if it is your initial appointment and 5 minutes if it is a return appointment.

Late arrivals will result in an abbreviated appointment.


What Happens If I'm Running Late or If I Can't Make My Appointment?

We request at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your appointment.

What Are Your Cancellation / Rescheduling Policies?

At Sydney Remedial Massage, we appreciate that sometimes, "life happens" and you will not be able to keep your appointment.

With respect to Sydney Remedial Massages’ other clients, we request that at least 24 hours notice is given should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

The following cancellation fees will apply for massage appointments should appropriate notice not be given.

  • Cancel with less than 4 hours notice: $50
  • Missed appointment: 100% fee


For the Jaw Release Program and Kinesiology sessions, 24 hours notice is required or a full fee will be charged.

If a payment has been made in advance, you will receive appropriate credits towards your next appointment as a result of your cancellation.

If payment was to be made on the day of the appointment, any incurred cancellation fees will need to be paid prior to your next appointment.

Can I Claim Massage On My Health Fund?

Depending on the level of your cover, in the majority of cases, the answer is yes. Our therapists are registered with all of the private health insurance companies.
